Let's take care of the seeds, so that we have good fruits!
To overcome the added difficulties in the education and learning of children and young people, the UP School creates a school knowledge review center, with the aim of reviewing or even seeing, and learning the contents that were not sedimented, but materials given over the last years.
This situation was verified and reported by the media and perceived in a family environment in the Pandemic, it is a fact, but the truth is that the lack of teachers in schools, the lack of depth in the subjects has been getting worse year after year.
While explanations are important to help improve test scores and exams, it is imperative that children improve their knowledge and develop reading, writing, learning and math skills. Our practice has shown that the origin of today's difficulty lies in the lack of basis that the student should have to solve a given question, and very rarely in the question itself.
And it is easy to understand, although he is aware of the process of potentiation, for example, he cannot successfully complete the activity because he is not good at multiplying the numbers in question.
In Portuguese it is no different, how to get a student to do a …. syntactic…. When your knowledge of syntax structures is not solidified… and so on.
It is necessary to structure the basic knowledge of children… and this starts in the literacy process, it is common to hear from children; teacher: Is this word with a C for shoes? Now, the question is basic – is there a c in the word shoe? Obviously not, this is just an example of literacy with serious flaws.
The sounds of letters and the spelling of words in Portuguese and beyond are different issues, with different writing, with grammatical rules, their exceptions and so on.
It is of the utmost importance to involve students in the learning process, from the perspective of a dialogic approach in the construction of knowledge. Providing students with the exercise of their initiative and autonomy is essential for the self-regulation of their ability to learn. The development of a sense of belonging or integration in the learning community that are small study groups creates favorable conditions for everyone to learn.
It is essential to provide opportunity and time for students to think, to share the mathematical productions they carry out during the exploration of a task, and for them to collectively systematize the mathematical learning that emerges. These practices contribute decisively to the acquisition of knowledge and the development of the transversal mathematical skills considered, such as reasoning or mathematical communication, as well as to the development of transversal skills and general attitudes, to be present in the approach and exploration of the tasks, whatever be the theme.
