Language Courses
Up School – Escola de Línguas, provides Training Services, Language Courses, Professional and Business Improvement whose scope is the general public and the Department of Languages; it develops training actions in the context of teaching foreign languages and prepares for the following international exams:
- English,
- French,
- German,
- Italian,
- Spanish,
- Russian,
- Mandarin,
- Japanese,
- Portuguese as a second language,
for all levels, whether young children or adults, in accordance with the CEFR Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the national and international bodies responsible for language teaching in general, namely Cambridge, Goethe Institut, Cervantes, Ministry of Education Confucius Institute, Casa de Itália, University of Letters of Porto, Polytechnic Institute of Guarda and the University of Beira Interior.
Tutoring Centre
Our teachers from the tutoring center explain the contents from the first cycle of studies up until University - for all of those who need to improve their grades at school.
Knowledge Retrieval Center
Due to the pandemic, many students lost their rhythm of study so they need to revise the contents which they have difficulties with and that make learning the following contents difficult. This support is given from children who have gaps in the literacy and writing process as well as in more advanced years.
Translation
We are the source of privileged information on translation and interpretation services for public and private entities, the media and the general public.
We have a group of certified translators. We translate into 58 different languages from website translation to wine or olive oil bottle labels.
With the aim of promoting the highest quality standards, UP School – Escola de Línguas is the meeting point for all of those who understand the importance of translation and interpretation for the economy and society, namely in the context of a single market, expanding European network that already has more than forty languages, as well as the growth of global communications.
We are also the ones who provide services to those who need certified translations for legal, medical, school documents or the job market.
